“CUBIK” finally journeys to Singapore.

“CUBIK” has been a long time in the brewing.

Stefan Fanthome, co-producer, & Jason Brenizer, producer-director, worked on a “crazy idea”for six months, writing & re-writing a scrīpt, as well as working on pre-production logistics & preparations. There were auditions & rehearsals before the actual production kicked in for 10 days in November 2008.

I remember the day of the audition – “CUBIK” being the 2nd audition out of three auditions I had scheduled in that day. Coincidentally, I booked a role in all three productions, and all three productions had a character named Alex in them. For the “CUBIK” audition, I performed my much-loved Delphina monologue at the Sinema Old School theatre space, and did a bit of work on a scene from the short film.

I remember where I was when I got THE Call– on an island off Singapore, Pulau Ubin, filming an episode of“Incredible Tales 6″ . Needless to say, I was extremely excited.

I remember the excitement of meeting my various co-actors– most had so much more performing experiencethan I had.

And here I am now.It’s been 22 months since I received THE Call. 4 months since “CUBIK” first had our World Premiere in April 2010, and won theGrand Remi Award – Best of Fest (Short Films) .

And “CUBIK” had quite the journey to Los Angeles …

Through the Imperial Sand Dunes along the border between California, Mexico & Arizona …

To the White Sands National Monument & Missile Range …

And then onward to Los Angeles …

“CUBIK” even passed through the grounds of the Getty Museum.

And now, finally, “CUBIK” is having a Grand Premiere in Singapore.

August 27, 2010 (Friday) 7p.m.

The Grand Cathay

Minister George Yeo will be our Guest-of-Honour for the evening. And besides the film screening, there will be a Q&A session with the Cast & Crew, as well as Stunt Demonstrations. In addition, Harley-Davidson & Lamborghini will be supporting the event, just as they supported the film.
