On the last day of 2009, the day after I touched down from HK, I ended the year with a stroll on the beautiful beach at East Coast Park. Taking photos which would be made into a photo-story by Ying Ying, a Ngee Ann Poly friend. It was a beautiful way to end a year, and a decade. Back to nature.
These are a selection of photos from that collection: LOVE STORY.

My loved one gave me a bracelet & a beautiful rose.
Roses are beautiful, but they have thorns as well. Pain.
I remember the joy I felt with my lover & best friend.
And the pain I feel when I’m alone, reaching out to you.
So I chose to look for you.
The rose was all I had left of you …
… as I tried to search for you everywhere.
I remember this bench …
… and walking on the beach with you.
Those moments seem so far away.
I remember the moment you left me alone in this world …
… with only the beauty of the rose to represent what we had together.
You …
… left me.
And so I came to look for you.
Because we belong together.
I no longer have to walk alone.
If it were me, I would never choose to end this life in order to look for a loved one. I would live this life to the utmost, enjoying every moment, dedicating every moment to my loved one. Live my life in memory of him.
Just imagine how your loved one would feel – he/she would definitely want you to live on, and enjoy life. I know I would. My grandpa passed away 2 years ago, and even though my grandma was very sad, she moved on. Today, she is writing in memory of him, compiling his works & helping his legacy to live on. She is living for him, for herself, for their family.
Love. Life. Love Life.
