now & then a bright spark.

Haven’t updated this space for quite some time. Just recovered from a terrible bout of sorethroat & flu, which came almost right after a life-changing Asia Conference, and now I’ve finally mustered the motivation to sit down & blog.

It’s been quiet on the work-front for me. Attended a few castings despite my illness, and was involved in an interesting project last week – a Science Centre video for a Bioethics Exhibit. The video we did will be at the Singapore Science Centre for at least the next 5 years.

Had a few Media Reports over the past month – bringing a bright spark into the otherwise unpredictable life of an actress in Singapore.

Was featured in City News. An article regarding the Channel NewsAsia episode I did in March ( read my blog post here). Happy for a favorable report.

Word of the Actor (Singapore) was also fortunate enough to be part of a Straits Times Life! feature article on film communities in Singapore. The Straits Times is the main English-language daily paper here in Singapore. As you can see from the photo above, we are a bunch of fun-loving actors who meet once a week to work on scenes with different directors.

Proud that we are able to make a difference in the local scene, and in the lives of local actors. Brings an even brighter spark into my life!

This acting life is not easy. And I face more rejections & disappointments than victories & successes. But I’m going to keep persevering on, looking for the next bright spark.
