Ten Randoms

1.   I attended that dumb parent meeting at Marina middle school just for that $25 Safeway giftcard and they didn't have cards to give.

2.   The MIL got a bunch of free food from the food bank again....she brought a big hunk of ham.

3.   I'm still trying to finish up 2007 and man...can't get an appointment with Brougham.  What's frustrating is Teresa lets other appointment bogart in front of me and I get pushed back.

4.   Got that big manuscript to Karen Yamashita's upcoming book which she wants me to illustrate...trouble is, there's hardly any money in it for me.  But I may want to do it to get myself drawing again.  The condition I want is to retain copyrights and this is only for the use in the book and promotions.

5.   Marysville Bok Kai Festival is this Sunday.  I kinda want to go.  I guess I'll decide that morning...and it can't be raining up there.  We haven't been lion dancing in the last few years.  Maybe YKM is gonna take our places there.

6.   Suey Sing Tong's new year banquet was fun...but the food sucked.  Nice to run into old gangsters there.

7.   I made good pesto pasta salad.  Made a batch for the potluck today for that stupid potluck at Marina.  Here's how it's done:

1 lb.   Bow Tie Pasta(Fusili Pasta is good too)--Cook till el dente, drain

add fine chopped three stalks of celery

add one large shredded carrot

add one can of chopped black olives

add three heaping tablespoons of mayonnaise

add about five heaping teaspoons of ready made pesto (from costco)

add a dash of Mrs. Dash

add salt to taste

add black pepper to taste

mix it all together and voila...you're ready to go to a parent meeting to get a $25 gift card which is all bs.

8.   Better watch that baby spinach in my salad.  It's probably why my right foot's been hurting.

9.   I am surprised Gran Torino didn't get as much awards...it's a pretty good movie.

1. These are depressing times.  Anyone out there need t-shirts printed?  Anyone need a photographer for their wedding, family portrait, event....anything!
