ok so i have folks from aNd in town, and i suddenly realize they have no idea about the show i am in because i haven't blogged it!

this, ladies and gents, is "fried rice paradise", a big, slashy singaporean musical that i am in this month and next. lots of fun, nice songs, and nothing heavy. think of it as a huge dessert, ha ha!

so if you're in singapore this next couple of weeks, come see! and once again, i'll be donning a grey wig, playing daddy to my dear friend denise tan, who has one of the loveliest, juiceiest voices i've ever heard. (by the way this is the 3rd show i'm in with denise where i yell at her, ha!) we do have some wonderful people in the show, i gotta say. like darius tan at his sleazy best, sebastian tan, taufik batisah (singapore idol 2007), rahimah rahim (a singing legend from singapore's heyday of live music clubs), and alemay fernandez (a current jazz legend in our clubs!). our production team include one of the best west end sound guys there is, mike walker, and arguably this region's best lighting designer mac chan.

so come makan (malay for "eat") fried rice!
