Aside from some content and a few tweaks the TVCC site is just about finished. I keep seeing little things I want to tweak on it, but for the most part it’s coming along well. After I get come additional content and information back from my parents I think it can just about be launched. I’ll stick up a link when it’s done.
Aside from working on that I have begun packing. Actually, I started last night and packed up my bedroom and bathroom. Today I packed up my living room and some of my “office” area. But for the most part I’m just about finished up. I will finish up the rest of the non-essentials tonight and on Saturday morning I will pack up all my computer stuff. Amazingly, I dont have as much stuff as I thought I would and I didn’t really even need any boxes. I have so many suitcases (5 huge ones, 3 small ones, and a half dozen other small bags) that it looks like everything will basically fit. If I had gone none-stop with the packing I probably could have packed up everything I own in about 6 hours or so, but I have been doing it piecemeal, so just a little bit here and a little bit there.
Part of the reason I haven’t been going none-stop with things is that I’ve come down with a bit of a cold. Fortunately I had some asprin and throat losenges lying around from the last time I got sick (last fall, I think) so I’m not without relief. Being sick gets me kinda drowsey though and I ended up taking a nap this afternoon.
As for the moving process itself, my friend Lisa has been kind enough to call up a local moving service and arrange it for me. They will arrive at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday with movers and a truck, load everything up, move it to my new place — and all for just 250 RMB, or around $30.00 USD. Not too bad. Jisue is arriving on Saturday too, around 2:00 p.m., so as soon as I pick her up from the airport we’re going to head back to my (old) place and meet up with the movers to get things moved to my (new) place. With the move getting closer and closer I’m getting more and more excited about being in my new place. I’m still not 100% sure what Tam is going to be doing though. I need to find out what his plans are..
And so, tonight I will spend some time tweaking the TVCC site, finish packing my things and run a quick errand to the bank. Tomorrow I have a bunch of things to take care of before meeting my landlady at my new place to get the key at 8:00 p.m., but nothing too crazy or intense. And that’s all she wrote.
Amazingly, my DVDs take up almost as much room as all my combined clothes. I have waaaaaaay too many DVD.
Yeah, right. As if there is such a thing as “too many” DVDs. Ha!
