I've been pretty busy lately and haven't been on the site much. In fact, I have 260 feeds backed up for reading and I can say with pretty much full certainty that I'm never going to get through them. So, let's just pretend I did and I will start fresh from today, yes?
So, just wanted to post up a few quick updates about what's been going on with me so far this year.
I signed the lease (and paid a hefty deposit) for a new apartment yesterday. I move in after the 1st, and I have to say I really like the place. It's probably one of the nicest places I've stayed in over the past umpteen years I've been moving around. If you're in the neighborhood drop on by. I realize that all the people who live in Hong Kong have distance-a-phobia, and since my place is in Tung Chung none of them will ever come visit me. But if you're not afraid of the ever-so-intimidating THIRTY FIVE MINUTES (GASP!!!!!!) that it takes to MTR it to my place, feel free to drop by.
My most recent challenge is going well. I modified it a bit after the first week to be a bit more realistic, but the spirit of it is the same, and it's still quite challenging. My running is getting better (I completed almost a total of 5K today, in about 40 minutes or so, with more running than walking) and my wall sits are up to 5 minutes! Pushups are the hardest, but I'm plugging along and my maximum number is slowly climbing up. All in all, it's going well and I'm feeling much better. Yay endorphins!
Work is super busy. That's all I'm going to say about that.
After paying the deposit on my apartment I'm pretty much broke for the rest of the month. Don't ask me out because I can't afford it and I have too much work to do anyways. Plus, I should really be spending my free time packing... The only exception is Pat's birthday this Saturday.
And that is pretty much what I've been up to. So ends this update blog.
Oh .. and I have a bunch of photos that I've been meaning to add, as part of my "funky angles of things in Hong Kong" series. (hahahahaha) but you'll have to wait a few weeks for me to have the time to do that. Not to mention all the other projects I have on the back burner, like Wu Di's video thing, D'in's video and other stuff that I'd rather be doing, but can't spend the time on right now ....
Ah well .. c'est la vie ..
