Several distinct images pop in my mind when I think about things I've done / been exposed to over the past two months.- Watching the big dipper shine brightly as I climb out of a manhole in the pitch of night.- Admiring shadows dance on the walls of the Ape Caves in Washington.- Standing in a narrow alleyway in Boston as a beam of light shines down from above.I
recently completed a time-lapse project for Nike's "Run This Town"
campaign. Footage was filmed in London, Rio, Tokyo, Paris and New York
over the course of several days and the edit itself was most complex.
Even though the project was shot in time-lapse blocks... I had to work
frame by frame with each section in order to rescale, alter, move, and
refine the project. This was due to the fact that we had to feature key
elements and landmarks in each city. This
made for a great challenge because I had to fit in multiple locations
within the 12-15 seconds we can for each city. Even though the project
was a time crunch... it was very enjoyable to work on.You can check it by clicking the link below.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80lhembwNxwThere
were several other Nike projects I edited as well... including spots
for the "Make the Rules" campaign, "Air Max", and "Nike+ Run Club."In creative news...The
short film, Persephone, is nearing completion. The team at Animation
Dynamics has put in an amazing amount of work these past few months and I
couldn't be more pleased. The essence, look, and flow of the video has
all the emotional connotations I imagined.
I
am currently prepping our Kickstarter campaign for a September launch.
We will have an amazing assortment of incentives for all our
contributors including Persephone chocolates, signed illustrations from
artist Carla Lee, limited edition hard back books of "Weevil and
Nightshade's Compendium of Farables & Tales" and much more. We are
filming our promotion video in the next couple of weeks and I would
appreciate any consideration when it comes to helping this project reach
completion! Please follow our Twitter page at -

Persephone herself has started her own Tumblr blog where she discusses
life, child-slavery in chocolate plantations, the trials and
tribulations of being a teenage girl who is made of chocolate and much
more! Please check it out and spread the word to your family and
friends
Currently,
I am preparing to begin sound design, record narration, and begin work
on the score. It with with great pleasure that I would like to announce
the narrator for the project -
Suzanne Tufan.
With a beautifully haunting voice that is as rich and smooth as
chocolate itself, I couldn't be more pleased to have her involved.
Besides being a talented actress and musician, Suzanne's patience and
dedication to her craft makes her involvement all the more worthwhile
and I am confident she will do an amazing performance. The final cover design for my book, "Weevil and Nightshade's Compendium of Farables & Tales" is complete!
Talented designer Caleb Olsen, from
Bootcore Grafixs,
finished the project last week and I think it looks fantastic. New
ideas have already been springing into my head for Volume II and I have
begun writing several new farables for the next book.It is with great excitement that I am also announcing
Leigha Landry
as my publicist for the Weevil and Nightshade book. Leigha worked at
Windy City Publishers as a project, author services and social media
manager. After some time spent digging into book publishing, from the
initial contract to marketing a published book, she took a position as a
literary publicist and social media specialist at Author Solutions,
Inc., the largest indie publishing company in the world. Leigha has
researched, designed and fulfilled more than 30 social media publicity
campaigns. She has worked with books, including a memoir by an
Oscar-winning producer, of various genres by a diverse group of authors.New updates will be happening soon! More projects on the way! END OF LINE
