A good start to 2009

This year has started off pretty hectic.....I got back from my vacation feeling total withdrawal and completely bitter that I had to go into rehearsals while my family was still enjoying their vacation in SF.  I called nearly every single day to see what they were doing....and here I was in HK..trying hard to concentrate with the days drawing near for our opening night.  It was a dark comedy play about women and their bodies aging...there was dance that I choreographed for the first time....and one song that I sang at the end.  Well...all went well for our shows...the best one was the last one!

The day after our last show, I had to get up early to rehearse for a function that I had in Guangzhou. 

Then, the next day after that we were off for a day in Guangzhou...it was fun getting to work with my dancer friends on this one.  Rehearsals only took us 1 hr and a half and we were pretty much ready.

The following 2 days I had to do this cooking/eating show for Cable with my mom.  It will be shown during Chinese New Year.

There were 3 other people who were a part of the show...they had us cook in the middle of no where..it was strange....

These are some of the dishes....the 2 on the left side were me and my mom's dishes...both vegetarian....

These are our vegetarian dumplings....I made most of them.....

I definitely have a new love for cooking.....

And, that has been my first few weeks in 2009....pretty good start....
