My trip last week was to Bangkok last week. I was invited to the yearly "Salsa Festival" that they have there. And, basically the organizers want to bring in other forms of dance. Pole dancing is starting to become more popular there and they wanted to bring a positive image of the dance into Thailand... I had 4 very good workshops where I taught beginners and more advanced girls...taught some routines...I think they all had a lot of fun because they asked me to come back! I was very excited! It's nice when you feel like your students are having fun :) For the final night, I had to perform a piece for their closing party. Someone at the event must have recorded it and posted it on youtube...here it is
So, this is for those of you who are curious about it...and to prove that pole dancing doesn't have to be what we presume it to be....it can be a beautiful form of dance.
