DJ MISS YELLOW Wong Yat Tung a.k.a. Miss Yellow is not only a renowned actress, model and TV personality in her native Hong Kong, but also HKs most in-demand female DJ. Being in love with music since she was a toddler, she entered every singing competition as a teenager. Shortly after, she started her career as an actress in TVB, Hong Kong’s major television network. In her 8 years with TVB, she has been in countless movies, TV series, music shows, travelogues and variety programs that have been broadcast all over Asia. As a long time fan and collector of electro, breakbeats, house, hip hop and R&B, she decided to invest in DJ equipment and learned how to mix and blend her favorite music, with a little help from her mentor, HK’s legendary DJ Ryan Li. In her first year of DJing, she was booked in various high profile clubs all over Hong Kong, and was hired for private parties at Club Magazine by international movies star Zhou Xun and acclaimed photographer Wing Shya. In 2008, she met HK based German-American DJ-/ promoter-team Kid Fresh & Enso, who invited her to play at some of their monthly club nights like PIMPIN AINT EASY at CLIQ and HYPE NASTY at VOLAR. Today in 2010, HYPE NASTY is voted Hong Kong’s best new club night by Time Out magazine, and Miss Yellow became party of the crew as well as a party-time resident DJ alongside Kid Fresh, Enso and Yao. She is being booked all over Asia, Australia and Europe, and opened for the likes of A-Trak, Craze, Klever, Roxy Cottontail, Curtis Vodka, Fatboy Slim and 2Manydjs to name a few. With her flawless technical skills, her deep musical knowledge, smart selection, unique style and magnetic charisma, Miss Yellow is able to captivate every crowd.
