I look forward to meeting you all!
I love to travel and go on adventures. Maybe that’s because I’m a German Vietnamese American who is a citizen of the world. I also love to discover perfection in the obscure. Perhaps that’s because I’m the most imperfect person I know. Above all, I love to record what I see and interpret in people. Capturing the moment of truth and telling a story… That is my passion. This is why I’m a photographer, as well as a filmmaker.
Here's my short bio: Nadine, a German-born Vietnamese filmmaker worked in talent representation and at various production companies prior to her education at the world renowned American Film Institute Conservatory. Nadine received her MFA degree in directing in 2009.
She has co-produced multiple short films, including Peter Phan’s “THIS WILL ALL MAKE PERFECT SENSE SOME DAY” and Charles Chu/Ryan O’Nan’s “BUTCH BLOSSOM”.
Nadine's directorial credits include CHOPSTICKS, THE MUSE, ONE NEVER KNOWS, MINE, and SUSHI. She was one of eight recipients of the "Armed with A Camera" grant under the Visual Communication for Asian Pacific fellowship program in 2006, and was nominated for the VC Golden Reel Award of 2009.
Nadine is the proud recipient of the Mary Pickford Scholarship for Excellence in Directing. One of only three female directors in the AFI program, she wrote and directed two thesis films: The coming-of-age dramedy EGGBABY (co-written by Christine No) and SHADOW MAN, a Vietnam War drama.
Nadine received her BA degree in Anthropology from UCLA in 2003. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
