The opening ceremony of the 2014 Youth Olympics officially begins on 8 p.m., Saturday(Beijing Time) and run through Aug 28 in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.

It's been confirmed that Chinese Presient Xi Jinping will attend the opening ceremony. South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun, together with three other pop stars on Saturday, including Zhang Liangying, Zhangjie and a female performer from Russia will sing the theme song at the opening ceremony.

The theme of the upcoming Youth Olympics is "Dianliang Weilai", or "Light Up to Meet the Future".
