Well, back in Beijing after a quick 10 days back in the SAR. Have just been in Beijing for two months, I didn't realize in fact how much I missed HK and our creature comforts, until I stepped foot again at Chek Lap Kok.
Didn't get time to spend much time to hook up with mates this time round, except for a fun fun K session and attending a lovely wedding & banquet ..... apologies everyone!
Two months away from HK and here are my key observations and realizations again:
Taxis suddenly seem really expensive compared to BJ .... the $1 increase seems huge - haha!
Macau taxis meters are definitely jumping like mad .... huge price hike there!
Property and rental prices are still rocketing ..... seriously pondering where in HK I can afford to live when I come back in July ...... at the current rate ... it's looking like far far away in the NTs - haha!
4. I miss HK terrestrial TV more than I care to admit .... There is nothing good to watch in BJ .... the TVB drama repeats and reality shows on ATV & Pearl suddenly are amazing! .... Idol on Mon, Wed & Fri after the late news ... Wow!
Stocked up on deordorant .... hard to find here up North ..... the cashier at Watson's must have thought I had a serious perspiration problem
My wheels is locked up in a storage car-park .... so I was dependent on public transport this trip ... gotta say, the system is pretty sorted and excellent these days and great value (excluding taxis and the fcuking Airport Express) ....... I'm a re-born big fan of the 118 bus --- unbelievably fast from Chaiwan to Shamshuipo.
