Beijing realizations ...

1. Beijing is frigging cold ... i've been here nearly four weeks and the average daily temperature has generally been below 0 degreesC (ranging from 1C to -12C at nights) .... thing is, u seldom see any ice ... coz there is hardly any humidity in the air ... it's a dry freeze - sort of like a reverse sauna .... plenty of lip balm and moisturizers required ....

1. There are many new flashy cars whizzing around Beijing these days .... Buicks, Chryslers, Audis, Lexus, Porsche Cayennes, BMs, Mercs  the lot .... people are flashing their cash on wheels it seems and there is plenty of dosh around - believe me (not sure how much of it above board though - haha)... btw, most drivers are wankers! ...

but, if you ask me, the best way to get around town locally is by Rickshaw (人力車) - 5rmb is great value .... especially if you're dying for a waz and you don't fancy a work home in the nippy night air .... can get you home in a jiffy.

Life is fragile - pls take a moment to cherish what u have around u .... my mate's Pomeranians had a litter of three puppies just before New Year's Eve - girl pup No.2, named Eva passed away this morning with digestive problems.... RIP, sweetie-pie - u put a smile on my face every time I played with u this past month  .. condolences to Lam canine family ....
