Fry-up for lunch - belly now fulfilled ...

first things first, CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to all Democrats and Obama supporters ..... for me, i see it as new hope and change for the world's most important and leading economy (wonder how many years more they can claim this for though - haha) and actual gasp of relief ... to be honest, i was pretty undecided whether i preferred BO or McCain until they unveiled their VP choices a couple months ago ... it sorta freaked me out at the  thought of possibly having Hot Mama Palin as Commander-in-Chief by default, should anything untoward happen to McCain whilst in office ... that just pushed me over the edge in having to route for camp BO from then onwards ...

but a sincere ode to and thoughts for Senator McCain ... in the end, a 52/48% popular vote defeat was a good fight ... just remember the guy is the ultimate American hero and a compassionate patriot with his heart clearly in the right place, in hoping to make the world (via the US) a better place ... a true late bloomer, so there is hope for us all -- even me!

anyways .... on to things Paddychow .... woke-up this morning at 10am, feeling peckish and missing my parents in the UK ..... a good a reason as any, so why not cheer-up & treat myself to a proper English fry-up breakfast (for lunch) i thought to myself ... eagerly called my L'il Bro to arrange to meet her at The Flying Pan (24 hours - restaurant/cafe), Old Bailey Street, Central at 1pm.

hadn't actually been to any of the three Flying Pans in Hong Kong, and i was pleasantly surprised with the standard and authenticity of a proper British fry-up they presented .... and very much so was my belly :oP

a pretty good deal too at HKD 80 + coffee or tea (unlimited refills), considering the location, the quality, portion sizes, service .... and round the clock availability too!

next time soon ... i'll be trying out their wide range of omlettes and of course my personal favorite - Eggs Benedict, which they had on the menu too.

BLOG EXTENSION .... i shared with dear Lydia earlier this afternoon that i would be going for Shanghainese cuisine at the old-fashioned 3-6-9 Shanghai restaurant in Wanchai for dinner tonite. As promised, we got through traditional steamed pork dumplings （小笼包）, pork chop soup noodles （排骨上海汤麵） and  tasty Chinese cabbage in cream sauce （奶油津白菜）.... additionally, for desserts we ordered red bean pancake （豆沙祸饼）and mixed fruit almond tofu （雜果杏仁豆腐）- yumyum! ...... as the gentleman i am, i dutifully and daintily ate desserts on behalf of the lovely Lydia, all the while wondering exactly how much she would have enjoyed "really" consuming the deserts herself - haha .... and how anxiously mad it would make her by just looking at the below photo :oP .... cheer-up L - big smile :o)
