Tottenham Hotspurs were in town to play a friendly match with the territory's oldest and most beloved team South China Athletic Association Football Club. It seemed a good idea for two UK footy freaks, such as Daniel and I to wander down to Hong Kong Stadium to watch the star-studded Spurs team unload some expected whoop-ass on the local underdogs ....

warming up, the Tottenham team were having fun rolling around, basking in the sunshine, and certainly they weren't expecting nor in the right frame of mind for what happened ...
it was 0-0 at half-time and South China had done well to keep Spurs at bay, but once the teams came out for the restart, everyone noticed Spurs had substituted in the big guns - Keane and Defoe up front ... the whole crowd was expecting the detonator to be pressed for the Spurs onslaught at anytime .... it never happened
match result : South China 2 - 0 Tottenham Hotspurs
a goal in the 52nd minute and a converted penalty in the 70th, sealed one of the greatest victories in the long history of SCAAFC ... even though this was only a pre-season friendly for Spurs - it was an amazing result for the local team... still, I would be embarrassed tonite, if i was a Spurs fan ... and i know quite a few ;oP
i was thinking of taking my shirt off like the some of the other fans ... but thought better of it, in lieu of the mob-scenes it would have probably induced
