BORACAY

Well ... a few days of no computer and just BB addiction.. i did toss my trusty BB finally...

it was bliss...

its amazing how you end up with technology addiction.. and without it.. there are withdrawal symptoms.

Went with a good friend of mine a designer who's moved back to Manila.. i went with the intention of having a low key b-day...with the idea of spa.. cleansing... therapy..fashion free...unfortunately.. my friend is a true filipino at heart... meat, bbq, more meat....pancit...san miguel... and calamasi juice.....so after half day of arriving and famished.. the oath of  no carbs was lost in the water.....we enjoyed everything island life had to offer.... including MTV philipines partaying thru the weekend...in Boracay....

it was my first time to Boracay... i love quiet places.....there are some secluded beautiful spots..  but certain parts are over run by touristas...and vendors making a living..its a shame that there are a few crazies....that  ended up staying. The water is super clear...

Noel.... jumped on a sea urchin on the first day in the water...nasty big black spikey creature...hanging in shallow water....he was in sooo much pain... locals tell you... you gotta pee on it straight away... well imagine foot ...in water....!..vinegar or calamasi juice for 2 hrs is the next best remedy... and boy those spikes were long..they fall out eventually... SAN miguel ..helps also..

While the summit has been going on in Bali...i realised that the philipines have been doing their part at all levels.. the kids created some cool christmas lanterns made from recyled materials.. coke cans.. plastic cups.. slippers...

filipinos know how to party ....funny how only a couple of hours away and its all so different to china..everyday is a party.. wedding, dinner...BBQ's...each beach front guest place has its own theme going down.. this reminded me of some kids fairytale...the umbrellas on the left are supersized cocktail umbrellas..quite surreal..

LAST word......saw alot of awful fashion no no's...absolute NOs....the view was too obscene to shoot....all i can say is.. tall skinny balding ....or hairy ...EURO boys... do not wear WHITE  g - string jockstraps...........whilst playing volleyball....does that leave enough to the imagination?

Now back in xiamen.. and almost ready for work..
