Relaxing weekend in Hong Kong.. of absolutely NO WORK... and finally sorted out my home somewhat and slept in my own bed..... i have been in my apartment there.. almost a year and i finally unpacked the last of my belongings from my move from New York... then a horrible thought crossed my mind.. what if my landlord wants me to move...i swore years ago.. that i wouldn't move again.. and that was in NYC..3 apartments later and across the continents.. i have two homes in asia-- china and Hong Kong... and a homebase is neither.. HK feels the most like home right now.. but in saying that.. recently i have spent so much time between BJ and Shang... they are growing on me.. and i can honestly say i have met alot of great people along the way... that makes it easier to settle somewhere...
I always had this feeling that i wasn't quite sure where home was.. but knew it wasn't in england permanently.. or neccessarily in one spot.. so i guess i am living that reality...
now back in china.. and looking forward to the weekend of returning back to HK...before i hit the road for Beijing...
Stopped by the Brave exhibition and its really cool that there is thought to giving back to the community.. I love José Parlá's work.... and Deane always has an excellent hand... hope that this exhibit will inspire much more to come.....
Excited to see what else the artist community have on offer.. there should be a huge interactive arts event next year during the olympics in honor of peace and unity... as the theme. let it tour around Asia... kick starting in Beijing.
