Brace yourself for Melvin.

Today I bring you the biggest sexist on earth, mister Jack Nicholson in

As Good As It Gets (1997) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119822/New York City. In addition, Carol, the only waitress who will tolerate him, must leave work to care for her sick son, making it impossible for Melvin to eat breakfast.Academy Awards, USA

Fun Facts:

  • In one scene the dog starts mimickingJack Nicholsonby stepping over the cracks in the sidewalk. The filmmakers accomplished this by placing little obstacles on the cracks so that the dog had to step over them. They then removed the obstacles digitally in post-production.

  • Verdell the dog, was played by six Brussels Griffons, named Timer, Sprout, Debbie, Billy, Parfait, and Jill. Jill was the star.

  • The taxi (No. 2T94) that Melvin hails to take Carol and her child to the hospital is the same taxi used in the movie Die Hard: With a Vengeance by Samuel L. Jackson.

  • Udall's response to the question about how he writes women is an actual response given by author John Updike when asked the same question.

And here is the scene: Enjoy!
