“The spirit of sound”Lately I’ve been mostly working on my blogs. But first, I’m going to write about something funny and interesting that happened this week.

RING RING RING

C: Coco

P: Phat

C: “Excuse me, is this Phat from 24Herbs? (The girl on the other side of the phone sounded like Shu Qi speaking in Cantonese! It was sweet haha!)

P: “Yes! Is there anything I can do for you?” (I already treated her like she was Shu Qi so I used my extremely gentle and soft voice to reply.)

C: “I’m Coco from A-VIBE! Have you heard of the brand Atomic Floyd?”

P: “No.. what is it?”

C: “It’s a headphone brand, the quality is amazing! I want to give a pair for you to test out, would that be ok?”

P: “There’s no such thing as a free lunch. What’s the catch?” (Although I know I’m awesome but not awesome enough for an overseas brand to give me a pair of free headphones! Haha!)

C: “I really want to give you a pair to try out… but I was hoping that after you tested them out that you could write a thing or two on your blog.”

(I hesitated for about 3 seconds…)

P: “Hmmm.. ok, but if the quality isn’t good or if I don’t like it, can I write about it honestly? If not, then thank you for your offer; you don’t need to give me a pair.”

C: “ Why?” (Her Cantonese is so cute!!!)

P: “Even if you don’t send me a pair I would still write about it to my readers and friends if the product is good! However, I can’t write about a product that’s not great and make it sound like it’s the bomb! I don’t want to lie or cheat my readers. I can’t do that to my readers Shu Qi!”

C: “Shu Qi?”

P: “Oh, Sorry.. I meant Coco!”

C: “OK! It doesn’t matter what you think of the product. Whether you feel it’s good or bad I still would like you to write honestly about what you think of these headphones. Ok ma?”

P: “Of course OK la! Please send it to my place! Thank you Coco!”

2 hours after our conversation the courier arrived with my new Atomic Floyd headphones! I felt so spoilt! Haha!

I couldn’t wait to open up the Atomic Floyd headphones when I received them! I plugged it into my iPod right away. Firstly, I tested out the equalizer to flat (it was amazing originality!). Then I changed it to My Chemical Romance’s “I Don’t Love You” — the guitar sound was clear and crisp! After, I wondered what the bass would sound like. I changed my song to Jay-Z’s “Moment of Clarity” to test it out. One word.. WOW! The bass blew me away! It’s AWESOME! Not only is the sound amazing, but the appearance looks really cool!

I love the design and appearance.. whether you like it or not.. it’s none of my business. This is MY piece of mind.

I’m one lucky guy.. now I’ve got a pair of new headphones to go on trips with
