Last week I caught up with my good friends Eric So and Ah Dee (Howard) and we had some great dim sum while we talked about current art & designer toy scene. Eric has been working on some insane toy/figure stuff that should be out soon and Ah Dee continues to work with some amazing artists. A few days later I got a special gift in the mail and freaked out. Ah Dee sent me the "Love & Care" Yoshitomo Nara stamps he had specially made for friends and family only! I'm a huge Nara fan so I immediately had it framed. They're not for sale, never made to the public, and only 80 were created (with the HK Post office) to celebrate the "Sleepless Night Sitting" piece that How2work made last year. Thanks again man! So stoked. If you guys have a chance check out Ah Dee's CLOT blog here and all the cool figures/toys his company How2work has put out here.
The coolest thing I got in the mail in a long time!
Last years "Sleepless Night Sitting" I scored #294 off 300. My most prized Nara piece!
Among the first pieces done by How2work were the Tokyo Tribe comic figures that became instant favorites in the Japanese collectible toy scene.
These figures by the popular illustrator Jimmy Spa were all over the place too!
The blue guy up there needs no introduction next to the LauLau figure by Tak.
Two new projects by Ashley Wood and Moomin. So dope!
