Superwoman

I wish I were Superwoman.

I wish I could slow time down because it keeps on speeding up on me!

I just got back from the beautiful island of Langkawi and it already feels like I’m a hamster just running in a wheel. I’ve got a couple events on the morrow and thankfully I managed to have a couple shoots postponed for next week, so I have breathers to run my errands. I’m going to Sabah for the weekend to wrap up my shoot with the travel site. It’s been hilarious thus far and I’m glad I get to cross off “climbing a mountain” on my to-do list. The two dudes that are here, Ian and Bruce, keep me entertained with their Simpsons trivia and anything to do with the 90s while growing up in ol’ Vancouver. I think I talk like them but they remind me that my Malaysian accent creeps in more often than not.

Its strange being a tourist in my own country but I think everyone has to get out of the city at least once and check out the rural life outside of the metropolis. It is about appreciating your surroundings, and I’ve moved to different cities to change up my scenery for that reason! It will be my first time travelling to East Malaysia but I’ve been wanting to do it since i’ve got here, so I’m incredibly excited. Staying over at a Rungus Longhouse and climbing Mt. Kinabalu will be on the itinerary. A magazine has already mentioned that they want to publish my pictures if I do it, so that will be quite exciting too!

Its just before midnite and I’m already tucked in bed. My routine before bed has gotten increasingly rigorous with having to cleanse, mask, soften, hydrate and moisturize. It’s so important to look after the skin and I’m glad that SPF50 sunscreen was purchased for the trip.  As for the fun stuff, I’ll be out for one of the first times this month (although its already over) at Aristo tomorrow as your Guest Bartender @ Clive Magazine’s Party! I’m exhausted, and it feels like kryptonite is embedded on my bed because I’m having trouble trying to finish this entry.

Must go to sleep now.
