MOSAIC MUSIC FEST + Newest 938LIVE Radio DJ!

LIfe has been hectic since I started my journey at 938LIVE on Valentine's Day this year! I host a youth talk show that I produce and present on Friday Evening, 7-8pm on 93.8FM (938LIVE) - check out the FB page here:) facebook.com/rawandready I love that this job gives me an excuse to go out and meet people! :)I'm reflecting on my writing exercise that I did in January and realise how little I've done to achieve my goal of doing at least three songs a month. Songs are that hard to write.I've got to keep writing!So here goes. Writing exercise with no expectation. Just writing what flows.1. The swish swash of the buses going by on the damp road only becomes a background to the disturbed heartbeat of a someone who has lost a friend. A friend who had appeared in a dream the night before, this same friend who fell from a building and crashed into a pool. That broke her fall, but not before that friend's friend screamed as if fire was burning her throat, awoke in the sheer terror that we all sometimes have: that dreams are true, and that reality is only a thread away from being pulled into a nightmare.2. Laughter. laughter is not neccessary to survival, if you think about it. Crying, yes. A baby must cry so that his mama will know he's hungry, done a doo-doo, wants to shut out the crowd of adults fussing over his double chin. But why do we need laughter? Who needs our individual expression of mirth, amusement, joy? Afterall, laughter is almost always a cover up for another cry - that day when we bordered on laughter and crying I realised then, that laughter is a choice.
