I packed up all my equipment and flew a 1 hour flight to Haikou China...or Hainan island. The mission: in 4 days produce and shoot 2 music videos and help with an untitled project that I have to keep tight lip about.First time to travel like this. I pretty much brought everything with me including the steadicam and kessler lite jib. Very scary to bring so much like this.So we arrived in the Hainan Island in the area known as Haikou. The crew and artists all stayed at the mission hills golf resort. The view is massiveThis is the disneyland for spas. They have themes and different looks for each spa. It'll take you days to try them all out.http://mineralsprings.missionhillschina.com/index_en.shtmlCheck out that link for the different spas. The CEO Ken Chu was real nice and soon he's going to open up a Lan Kwai Fong with the current owner of the HK one allan zeman. So that means a lot of parties. I'll keep you guys up to date on that launch maybe we can go have an Alive Not Dead party there. Kind of felt sorry for this pool cleaner. Wonder if the pay is good. The crew as we set up for the epic battle between golf carts. Setting up my mini jib (crane).Let's do this! The amount of time for filming was non-stop. In between the project, I'm not allowed to talk about, and timing for 2 music videos, it was a fast blur. This is Mr. Li. If you're in HK or you have TVB channel, you've seen him around. And this is Nat Chan...who hasn't seen him? This picture saddens me cause he's got more hair than me. WTF. When the hours get long you just gotta have fun. I was told to go through the obstacle course and I did. Only after everybody knew it supported my weight the entire group followed...thanks guys.I have no idea what I'm looking at. Wearing this steadicam takes a lot of heart and patience. Wearing it for days, it can wear you outThere wasn't much time to prep for 2 music videos, so I just did my best to use the locations to my advantage. This is Rainky, who did a wonderful job on her sad love song. Also worked with Khloe. Her song was a bit more rock, so it was all about the night time shoots.Cave. Check. Oil lanterns. Check . Have the hotel turn off all the lights in this area for us. Check. Next step..edit. Lets hope these vids turn out alright. Until then, see ya!OH yea, a special thanks to CAM SQUARE in Mong Kok Hong Kong. They have been very friendly and always supplying me with Lens Rental and discount prices on 2nd hand gear. Bravo to them, if you need the hook ups, find them!Another update:I made this video back in June of an Australian Jockey getting drunk. Well, it just hit Australia and is now getting hits since 4 days ago, its averaging about 1000 hits a day. HAHAH He deserved it!!Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQ4WT-Id_dQ
