Beaten Like A Gong

I know I haven't blogged lately. I apologize.

My trip to Tokyo was fun, but exhausting.

And I recently have come to despise my laptop's keyboard, so even though I had it with me, I avoided it. To answer some recent questions:

No, I didn't get to see Nana this time.

Which means that the tattoo doesn't say "Nana was here" in katakana.

Considering how painful it would have been, I am grateful.I'll pass on making the requisite length/size joke here.Proud of me? My wrists have decided to go on strike, and I don't know why. So typing is painful. So is guitar playing. Or letting my hands hang idle from my wrists.

I have a lecture tomorrow, and a guest lecture Friday. I have another guest lecture this month, and one in November.

I will survive these things, as I always do. But I wanted people to know I felt bad about not writing.

While I will spend more time later describing exactly how and why, let me just say that Shakalabbits were unbelievably phenomenal, and I am glad that I made the trip and it was worth it and I will see them again some day. I haven't had my ass kicked like that in a long time, and it  was an absolute privilege to be in that room with them.
