Die Yankee Dog

I hatestupid people.I find that the easiest way to let people show how utterly stupid they are is to let them speak.

To wit:

http://www.yomiuri.co.jp/dy/features/arts/20090116TDY16001.htm

It's about an American director who makes a movie about an American girl that goes to Japan and learns to make ramen noodles.

Both of these quotes are from the article:

"The conventional way to make the movie would be to have her teach the Japanese ' Oh, this is the right way to do it. You've been doing it for hundreds of years, and I will show you how to do it right, because I'm American!' That would have been sort of the American approach, but I really wanted to say the opposite," he said."

Sounds like a good idea. But... "'She makes delicious ramen and it's very beautiful, but still she's rejected. I wanted to say something about the fact that I think that traditional Japanese should open themselves up more to what young people can bring,' he said."

In other words,'Oh, this is the right way to do it. You've been doing it for hundreds of years, and I will show you how to do it right, because I'm American!'F#$% off, you irredeemable cretin.

ha ha.. well he said 'young people'... not necessarily American young people... :-P maybe he's just misquoted. there is much to be said for Japan's love/hate relationship with foreigners in their country... but i'm not sure if Ramen is the way to say it...
