I know some of you may find this shocking, but I don't suffer a surplus of faith in humanity.
Just this week in one of my classes I advocated the wholesale slaughter of stupid people, preferably before they breed. It was right about the time I kicked the waste basket across the room.So it has been for me an incredibly rare and rewarding experience to let Mimi Leung paint my guitars however she sees fit. She's an artist (I mean like artartist), which I most certainly am not.
I placed my absolute trust in Mimi to come up with something artistic, which I knew I could not do.
I am very pleased, and not at all surprised, that she has succeeded marvelously and exceeded even my wildest, most unfair expectations.Look at this:The Iceman beginneth! This is a horribly rendered mockup with the hardware it will wear:I think it needs a special strap:The last time I saw one of these was in a Poison video... In fact, while looking for a photo of that strap, I stumbled on something new(s) to me: Dimarzio makes them in new colors. They've made the green one before but pink, yellow and especially orange are new:Useless guitar trivia: While you can buy knobs, pickup covers, pickups, etc. in a rainbow of colors (mostly thanks to Dimarzio), orange never seems to be an option. Until now.
I had a white strap reserved for the Soloist, but I think it deserves orange:See?
And a yellow one will be perfect for the yellow strat: Besides, this way, I'll have a black and a white strap that aren't attached to guitars.
And that's just unfair!
There's only one thing that will fix this dilemma:MORE GUITARS
I want to seriously and publicly thank Mimi for doing an incredibly impressive job on these guitars. I feel privileged to be able to call them mine, and I will do everything I can to show them off in front of people.Preferably at dangerously high volume.
If we don't support the movies that deserve it, we get the movies that we deserve.
