Free promotion.

A good friend works at the South China Morning Post. She is involved in the listing of events, be they cultural, musical, etc. Well, she feels that local bands probably assume that the SCMP doesn’t care or isn’t interested in local bands.

You/they are wrong.

From a recent email:

“Could you please spread the word to your musician friends that the SCMP actually does have a weekly gigs list and would like to consider listing their gigs for free IF they’re open to the public and the info can be sent to me at least one week – preferably two weeks – ahead of the gig/concert taking place. “
