Movie Review: Talladega Nights

I watched this on VOD with my nephews in Florida and laughed myself silly.

I bought the DVD and watched it with my aunt in Connecticut. I laughed even more.

People either love Will Ferrell or hate him.

I hatedhim on SNL.

But I started liking him in movies.

His supporting roles in The Ladies Man, in Zoolander, or Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, his star turns in Elf or Anchorman, I don't care.

He's absolutely brilliantat playing the moron with a straight face.

And Talladega Nights is the best role yet.

Ricky Bobby, who shoots to NASCAR fame, is surrounded by people as dumb (and therefore entertaining) as he is.

And he's f@#$ing retarded.Maybe I like this movie because I used to live in Alabama (a Native American word meaning 'atavistic sinkhole').

Maybe I love it because so many of the gags make me wonder "How the hell do you even thinkof that?"Maybe I just can't help but love a movie with this dialogue:"I like to think of Jesus as a mischievious [sic] badger."
