Navels and Chinese and...

Recently, I pondered whether or not I should un-fan myself from people whose blogs/entries are in Chinese.

I can't read Chinese, and web translators are good for humor and f@#$-all else. So it seemed at least slightly pointless.

But I didn't want to seem like I was being... what's the word?

An @sshole?

It's a tough choice, sort of, because on the one hand I don't think it's terrible of me to not want to look at something I can't read.

Which in turn makes me ask myself why I'm linking to it in the first place.

I don't think we need to spend even a moment on that painfully obvious point.**** Digression:

Speaking of painfully obvious points (or obviously painful points), I have jogged my nipples bloody twice this week. Naturally, I was wearing white shirts both times (and the gym has been unconscionably crowded ever since they started this awful promotion that supposedly limits people to off-peak hours but, like good HKers with an attitude and a receipt, they just stay as long as they f@#$ing want to), so me and my bloody shirt get to walk past 200% of the people I normally do.

Especially with this condition, I actually needto remember that paying $ doesentitle you to something:

I'm obviously joking. Anyone who knows anything about such things knows that I would need to say it in Mandarin...**** Where was I? Ahh, yes.

I decided that I would stay linked to pages I can't read.

At the very least, I am supporting other AnD people, and I do get to see a lot of things I otherwise wouldn't. It's no skin off my nose, so to speak.

As for navels, I guess I was paranoid about this post seeming to be some kind of horrid, autoscopic navel-gazing drivel.

I mean more than usual.

I didn't mean it that way. Please don't think I'm navel-gazing.

I hate looking at my own navel.

I like looking at navels, just not my own.

Or any other man's. As nearly as I can tell, I don't see many navels on pages I link to that are in Chinese.

But I'll make like Tom Cruise inValkyrie and keep an eye out.

I've seen navels  on the English-language pages of women with Chinese names, and I must say that the navels more than made up for the English writing.

Then again, I'm not sure if there was writing. I was only looking at the pictures.

Which leads one to reasonably ask why I'm concerned about writing in any language.

I guess I'm not.

I don't know why I have this fixation about navels.

But I'm glad I do.

If guitars had navels... I'd be a polygamist.

Don't ask me what that means; I have no f@#$ing idea.
