i only made it about 1/3 of the way through, but I agree with you about Forbidden Kingdom, its basically an American Kungfu fan's superficial regurgitation of elements from Kungfu films... basically I could tell it was written by a westerner while watching it.

But that's my whole point! Make a movie about a Chinese kid who ends up in the old west between John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. If you don't mention their movies, you undercut 90% of the basis for the kid's knowledge of the genre. It's such a crap movie. And I probably should have serialized this, huh?
