Either way, this is still one of my favourite quotes of all time. Recent events have really tested my strength, patience, resilience and to an extent, my sanity. In trying times it’s really difficult to look at those times as a journey to embrace and learn from, especially when things are not within your control. It’s during those times when you also find out people’s true colours as well as those who remain true to you. What I’ve learned from this experience is that not everyone who treats you nice at first is your friend. And in hard times, it’s those who stick around, even when you can’t seem to see that the sun will shine after then storm, are worth keeping... so stop wasting your energy on those that don’t matter.
