Get ready to shred Po Kong Village road!
Back in June 2012, we started a petition to the government to allow Skateboarding at the Po Kong Village Park – one of the biggest & best skateparks in Hong Kong, but only for BMX riders.
During the Hong Kong Go Skateboarding day on 23rd June 2012, we started our petition by marching to the PKV skatepark, followed by our online petition. After 2 years of negotiations, I am pleased to announce that the PKV Skatepark will be open to Skateboarders from the 28th July 2014. A big “Thank You” to everyone who supported this cause!
Now, lets have a look at the features of Po Kong Village road park!
PKV skatepark was designed with features for BMX riders. These are BIG features, but most of the park also appeal to skateboarders. Good point to note is that there are many ledges & rails all around the park.
The big pool is elevated by a stage, which has 3 big steps & a small 3 by 3 double set with handrail & hubbas on both sides.
The main combi bowl has channels, extentions & coping all around. Big features, but totally skateable.
See you all there later this month!
