Yuey qualifies 3rd in category!

In what was an epic qualifying session that almost saw Tan qualify his lowest of his career, he managed to pull one out of the bag on the final lap of the qualifying session.

"Qualifying was simply crazy. On the warmup lap, Mak Hing Tak took me off when I was passing him. As I passed him, he didn't check his mirrors and almost drove me into the wall. I spun on the grass and stopped just a little away from the wall."

Though after spinning off, Tan recovered and started on his flying lap thinking that things were alright. Things started to further turn for the worse.

"It's a funny thing. Right after I recovered and the red flag came out, I went in to get new rubber and came out right behind Mak again. When I left  gap to qualify, I closed right back up on him so it broke the rhythm. Though we broke through and did one good lap that was good enough considering the circumstances."

Tan qualified his car to 3rd in category, and seemed happy after a session that almost saw him some 10 spots below where he eventually qualified.

"Let's home everything is okay for the race! Car seems sweet and we found the setup very early in the weekend. So things are good!"
