Career Change - I want to be a TV show HOST!

So I've come to the realization that I want to pursue being a TV show host in LA or Asia - Some sort of entertainment / travel channel / party host or interviewer.

I think this is my optimal career because I love listening to new things and talking/asking plenty of questions!

If I were to get a 1 year contract even if it were less pay than my current job I would put in my 2 weeks!

Anyone with experience in this field?

Thanks! Yeah, I do like interviewing. I can speak mandarin.. no Japanese, but I plan on getting Rosetta Stone (a language learning software) for Japanese =)

be proactive and start making your own stuff so that you can start making a reel. my friend, Jeannie Mai, did that... she would go around random places and interview random people (you'll probably need a friend to help you with camera and sound). she's a TV host for shows on E!, Style, and USA Networks... maybe look into MTV Iggy also?
