For those of you who watch VIP Access (Sunday nights on STAR Movies), you know that even though Lisa and I are "co-hosts", we seldom appear on the show together. One week it's her and another it's me...
Well we FINALLY worked together at a media event yesterday for an international jewelry brand.
For those of you who only know "Lisa the Model" but are less familiar with "Lisa the MC", let me tell you -- this girl is DOPE. Completely at ease and effortlessly charming, she was busting jokes left and right and even got a few laughs at the expense of...yours truly.
I was really worried at the beginning of the event because two days prior, I had lost my voice in the middle of another MC job for a charity (yes, flu season is in full swing in HK). It was a horrible experience even though people were super nice and sympathetic.
Not wanting the same thing to happen again, I have been resting up my vocal chords by not talking. After whispering for the past two days, I talked at full volume for the first time yesterday. It was a weird feeling.Luckily, the event went smoothly and I had a great time! Almost didn't feel like work... Backstage pre-show.
I personally don't wear jewelry that much but tried a brooch and ring for the occasion. I kind of liked the brooch...adds a little je-ne-sais-quoi. (Translation: makes me look like a Korean pop star.) What do you guys think?
If you can see my face here, this is when Lisa was busting my chops...
Our special guest was the very beautiful Jennifer Tse.
Here's me with all the models...
Lisa, Jennifer, and I back-stage after the event. Dang -- I think I need a tan.
Here are Lisa and I posing Hollywood red-carpet style after the event. You know why else I love Lisa? Because she purposely wore flats so that she wouldn't tower over me! What a sweetheart.
Best, Dez
