On Thursday night I went to HK island via MTR from my new place. Before I used to always take the bus through the tunnel, but from my new place taking MTR is actually easier for going to certain places. Wednesday night, some of my department members went out to dinner at a fancy restaurant not far from our campus...
hypothetically it was a 'farewell dinner' for three of us, myself and another asst. professor are leaving (because our department is on the chopping block and is being forced to cut back on faculty contracts), and one of the lecturers is going too.
