The Last Two posts were rebuttals to a unpleased comment. This is my final point on this topic.
I cannot control how you or anyone in the world takes what I say. I can however tell you that you have full control of these things. I wrote my following blog, not to offend anyone. And in fact I made sure to say that I aim to only protest the institution of conventional medicine. If you take that personally that fault is not on my head but yours. Much like a person in a dysfunctional relationship who believes that their partner will change. It is that person's fault for creating a disillusion.
My aims to blog on the topics I am passionate about is to shine light on my beliefs. A blog after all is a way for a person to express themselves. As an entrepreneur I believe in supporting small start up companies. I also believe in fair wages, and ethical practices. Something that I feel the medical institution lacks. Just talk to any nurse and you'll see how ethical the medical industry is to the very people that are the backbone of the industry. But, not all entreprenures have this point of view. This is why "Social Entrepreneurs" were born. My goal as an entrepreneur isn't to make money so I can be greedy and spend loads of money. But, to make a difference and help those who are helpless. But not in a Christian missionary, or western way. But, I like to help those who are in need and want help (there is a huge difference). I support Doug Kofman and his book because I believe in supporting the businesses that are ethical. Since I don't believe that the Pharmaceutical industry is ethical I don't support them. It is that simple. But, since I have freedom of speech, and I once was ignorant to this subject, I write.
Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FPI7zdGdqo4This video is from an old blog that I had posted. It is this video as well as countless of other books, videos, and documentation, that I have formulated my opinion on "conventional medicine"
As far as life expectancy goes, I think our points were just reiterated. Our model for life expectancy is not measured well because of the skewed results in the past. If we look historically again we can see that the Hunza Indians would live to 120 or older, and at 99 still had erectile function. These tribes all sited by Westin A. Price in the early 20th century. Price found that these cultures didn't have a word for heart disease of cancer because it did not exist. This was in the 20th century, so it was prevalent that cancer didn't always exist. But the common knowledge of today is "cancer always existed we just didn't know what to call it." It is my personal research and belief that cancer and heart disease didn't truly exist until the western diet was spread. That would be a diet of white flour, table salt (not sea salt), sugar, and processed/pasturised milk.
I don't think I jaded the medical industry, I think they jaded others. But thats just my opinion.
Oh and the massive gang wars, wars, and brutality of the past (i.e. stabbing, whipping, punching, slapping, cutting, etc.) was most diffidently a cause for infectious disease. Open wound= more susceptible to infectious disease. As well as poor hygiene.
I trust eastern medicine over west just because it is way more holistic and looks at the root of the problem. The western philosophy seems to be just to mask the symptoms and the problems go away. Its a philosophy not only in medicine, but in social practices as well. If we really wanted to get to the root, we would shop locally, compost our food, and only buy what we need. But, that wouldn't support a capitalist society. Not to mention that eastern medicine has developed for nearly 5000 years where as western medicine has less then half to match up.
Momdoc dismissing my blog was a bit personal, and thus resulting in a verbal jousting of blogs. You are entitled to your opinion, as I am entitled to mine. All a person's research is, is their ego presented in scientific form. Humans are the ones who set things as right and wrong credible or non credible. The desire to be the "right" or "wrong" is purely ego. For any 10 arguments that you have against me I can also present 10 arguments against you. It is all relative. Both parties have egos otherwise there wouldn't be a disagreement.
My last two comments obviously offended you, but again, what is perceived by one is not perceived by another.
It is therefore I have to say I agree to disagree on this topic. There is a fair difference between fighting dirty like children or fighting fair like adults. Adults always know when to stop and fight fair. Since I consider myself to be an adult, I will have to Agree to Disagree.
