Just came back from Tokyo for the Tokyo Filmex International Film Festival. Tokyo Filmex was started by Office Kitano which is actor/director Takeshi Kitano's film company. Rosa, my wife and producer went with Jaycee.
Had a great time at the film festival and there was a really good turn out for the two screenings. The Q & A had some very intelligent questions.
Here are some interesting video and pix. We hung out with Daniel Wu and Jackie Chan and his gang for two nights because they're shooting Derek Yee's new film in Tokyo.
This video is funny. Rosa and I took a photo in the Sony building and they map our faces to a 3-d template and animate it. In the photo me on the bottom right and Rosa next to me.

The festival has been held in Ginza for 8 years now. Not a bad place to be.
Me, Shozo Ichiyama-san (festival programmer, also producer of Violent Cop, the film that made Kitano famous as a director) and Rosa
Rosa, Kim Hee Jung (Wonder Years) and me
Us and Kanako Hayashi (director od Tokyo Filmex)
Two of the great Filmex staff. Both of the them speak Chinese flawlessly.

Some Japanese fun stuff here...
The world's longest scissors and shortest spoon. They seem to have a tool for every specific occasion.
Garlic slices lined up patiently and simmered so slow that it made all our mouths water. It drove us crazy.
Rosa stayed in the room where the firemen could just go right in...
We went on a Tatami workshop...good clean fun.
