Cinderella

I was in Kunming a few days ago and saw this really interesting fruit at the airport. It was called huo she or something. I didn't try it, but since they are in the orange department, they must be a citrus kind of fruit.

I saw my dad a few days ago. He was visiting in Shanghai and he brought me a bunch of goodies from Holland including pepernoten, they're like small ginger nuts. They only sell these around the beginning of December when we celebrate "Sinterklaas" which is the original version of Santa Clause. Sinterklaas also has helpers like Santa Clause, but the helpers of Sinterklaas wear black make up and they chuck the pernoten at kids. Instead of using a sled and raindeer, Sinterklaas arrives by boat

Then they will visit the kids at the schools

When Sinterklaas and the zwarte pieten leave they will either hand you some pepernoten OR chuck them at you, it depends what they feel like, haha!

I arrived in Hong Kong today and went straight from the airport to the theater to watch Cinderella.  Lea Salonga was the lead role and she was wonderful as usual

The show was in Shanghai when I was rehearsing for Musical Moments in HK. Am glad I was still able to catch it. It was better this way as I was told that they couldn't use all the props and parts of the set in Shanghai because the stage of the Majestic theater was not big enough. This time in Hong Kong they were able to put on the full version.
