Singing w/ Jackie Chan

I'll always remember meeting Jackie Chan when I was only 16 in LA.  It was a very brief meeting but I remember it so well because he said (in mandarin) that I needed to shed some pounds.  I think it was the first time I ever heard anyone say that to me.  I was devastated !!!  of course, now, I've become quite accustomed to people making these types of comments left and right.....but, it put a strong impression on me and I couldn't forgive him for years! 

Since then, I have been to many functions with him and worked with him on  "Around the World in 80 Days".  And, he hasn't mentioned the weight thing.  So, I'm guessing...I've lost all that baby fat from back then?

Then, last year, I was so surprised to see that he wrote about me in his blog.  He said many flattering things about me in the singing competition in Shanghai.  And, just last Friday I had to sing with him in this Olympics function on Phoenix TV.  He mentioned the competition again to me and I was so happy to hear his compliments...unfortunately, I am a girl who needs some words of affirmation when it comes to singing...and coming from someone like Jackie is a big deal to me!  It's different when it comes from family or friends because you know that they have to say these things....though..it is also VERY appreciated..

Anyways....it was quite an experience to learn a song the day of a show.  But, somehow...after the disastrous rehearsal..we were able to pull it off by show time....

我記得第一次見到成龍是我十六歲的那年，在洛杉磯。 雖然是那次我們只是匆匆一面， 但是我終身難忘，因為他開口就用普通話對我說，我得減個幾磅， 這之前可是從來沒人對我這樣說的，我覺得被人侮辱了。 當然現在我已經習慣了。那個時候我可是很生氣，好長的一段時期， 每當我們在不同場面見面，甚至於當我參加他那部［ 八十日環遊世界］，他倒是再也沒提過我的體重的問題， 或許是我已經沒有以前那種孩子的胖吧...

一直到去年，他在他的博客上居然提起我，最吃驚的是他看了我在[ 我行我Show]的歌唱比賽，他居然在那兒稱贊了我半天。

上星期五我跟他一塊參加了鳳凰台迎奧運的節目， 他又提起了那回的歌唱比賽，當然我很喜歡聽到人們的讚美， 尤其是這話出自於像成龍嘴裡，如果是家人或者是朋友， 你會覺得是理所當然...

當然，這次的表演也是很特別的經驗，我們前一天才學那首歌， 然後我們經過了一場苦練，才終於上了場....
