my mate Ken, who these days is based in Beijing, is in town for a few days with his fiance Leanne and requested to visit my old stomping ground Hong Kong Disneyland (HKDL) yesterday ... of coz it was my pleasure to show them around ...
many thanks to Jenkin, my ex-Disneyland colleague and marketing department partner-in-crime, who kindly used up one of his cast member Silver Pass units to sign us in (one of nicer perks of working at HKDL)...
i couldn't resist taking a ride on my favorite attraction (hadn't been on it for over a year and a half - haha) ... i felt like Gollum ... "i'm coming my preeeecious ....."
HKDL opened its It's A Small Worldaround this time last year (it's actually the largest of all the Small World attraction in Disney's five parks - and is in fact the only one that includes Disney characters residing in the various regions along the boat ride). I didn't have time to go on it when I last visited during Halloween period .... was really looking forward to riding it for the first time ... and loved it (but i'm totally biased - haha) ...
lunch was Roast Duck rice at Clopin's Festival in Fantasyland .... by appreciating the Mickey shaped rice and carrot slices, it helps to take ur mind away from the taste .... fast-food at HKDL has never been its forte - hehe!
IMAO the rubbish bins at HKDL are definitely the prettiest and probably the cleanest in Hong Kong - they are managed by the resort's Custodial department and its wonderful team of cast members ... who work 24/7 to maintain impeccable levels of hygiene and cleaniness.
A nice day with pleasant weather ... it was good to bump into some old friends and familar faces along the way ....
