Sometimes when I feel like I'm too old to do it or just tired or can't do it in my hip hop class, I turn to the hip hop granny. She's 71 and just started doing hip hop a few years ago.

John Hahn (left) and I are collaborating on the graphic novel Campus Ghost Storyand we went to Comic-con to pass out some postcards for our project. It was my first year there and I thought it would be a good learning experience before going again next year to launch the novel. Next to John Hahn is John Han, the special effects supervisor on Heroes. We were at the Prism Comics booth.
I'd say this is my first little break after shooting "People." Got to come up to Vancouver, chill for a few days, and do some meetings... I've always thought this beautiful city has so much potential and I'd love to make a film here. This is the city of future where Douglas Coupland resides and writes about.

During my grad year at Yale, I made a bunch of shorts while masturbating to theory every day before going to film school. One of the most significant is "Sleeping Subjects," a postmodern college drama featuring a bisexual Asian guy, a gay black guy and a straight white female. The short won Runner Up Fiction at the Visions of U.S. contest administered by the AFI.
