PARIS FETE DE LA MUSIQUE.

On the first we arrived to Paris, it was the annual Fete De La Musique (Day of Music) Festival. It's unlike anything we have in NYC> Imagine Summerstage, but one in every single neighborhood of NYC! It's pretty incredible. Each circle you go to has a different concert and live band or DJ playing. Respective cliques and subcultures gather and party all day. The whole city comes alive. SPAM ANNUAL REPORT.

I wish I could read German. I'm not sure what this is, but I would guess that a clever designer hypothesized what it would look like if SPAM were a company and released an annual report on the success of their business operations. Or maybe it's real? If someone who can read German can confirm, that could be great since Google Reader s-u-c-k-s. Anyway, it's a great concept and even better design execution. Wish I could get my hands on a copy.

BALDFACE.

Man...all this snowboarding talk has me reminiscing of the days when I was able to ride like 30-40 days a season. Hope those days can come back soon. Last season, me, Hiroshi and some friends went on a sick ass expedition to Baldface, Canada. Hands down, the best riding experience I have ever had.

UMBRO ENGLAND KIT.

Check out this. Saville Row meets Wembley Stadium. I love how Umbro used the aesthetic and functionality of suit tailoring and combined it with the needs of real athletes.

See...I wish we could utilize our Reed Annex space to really showcase projects like this. Kind of show an insight into how a tailor like Aitor works, and get a little historical lesson into the making of these England football kits. Hmmm...maybe I'll make a couple of phone calls.
