Alex has had so many nice aunts and uncles who watch her when we go out of town, so when someone asked us to help take care of Didi aka Shakespeare for five months until he returns to his first parents in Taiwan, we figured we need to repay dog watching karma. Didi was abused in Taiwan as a puppy and doesn't like Asian men, except for @briflys. He loves him! He behaves like a real dog, meaning he actually barks! Alex never barks. Thinking of a time when I got to visit my arts idol's home in Mexico a few weeks ago before my dreadful surgery. Frida Kahlo was the first artist whose work I intricately studied in detail. It was an honor to show up at her home, which she lovingly called "the blue house" and meditate in her studio for a bit. One of my New Years resolution is more honesty and openness, especially in trying to match my online persona to my real personality/life. We came back from our epic honeymoon two days ago, only to be confronted with the fact that I needed to have my appendix removed immediately. Today, on our one month wedding anniversary, I had my first ever surgery, which for a wuss like me is a scary thing. It's all routine and all went well, so I am thankful.
