It’s 5:50a.m. & I’m still not asleep yet.
I’ve spent the past 2 hours watching “Notting Hill” , the fabulously written, beautifully shot & brilliantly casted romantic comedy of 1999.
Isn’t it wonderful when you live a dream come true, and the most unlikely person in the world actually falls in love with you?

I honestly think I’m too nice to be in this business.
Too nice, too naive, too “innocent”, too easygoing. No idea how to shamelessly advertise myself. No idea how to bootlick & savvy my way through life. Too blur, too trusting.
Acting is all about networking - knowing the right people to get you places. Getting people to remember you in a favourable manner, so they can hook you up with the higher-ups in this industry. On one hand, that means no tantrum-throwing, bitching or complaining. On the other hand, it means I cannot...Read more
Exciting stuff is afoot in my life! Haha.
UPCOMING SHORT FILMS
Firstly, I’m pretty excited about a few of my upcoming short films. I’m doing two shoots this weekend, one of which is purely daytime, the other is overnight. Scheduling-wise has been craziness this week, but that’s another story.
One short film I’m particularly excited about is CUBIK , in which I’m playing the lead character, Alex. F...Read more
I was busy with Incredible Tales 6: “The Ride Home” between Monday - Thursday last week. I heard it’ll only be showing on Channel 5 in June 2009, so we shall wait and see. Hopefully by then, I’d be involved in loads of good projects!
The filming was tiring, to say the least. We had outdoor shoots at Pulau Ubin & Punggol. Monday lasted from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday was from 6:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m. & Wednesday was the ultimate - from 6 p.m. till 8 a.m. the next morning!
Whew. But I had good fun. And learnt alot

I apologise.
It’s been a week since I last updated, so I figured I better get a post up on my blog, before cobwebs start forming. Haha.
Well, I’ve got photos aplenty from my shoot last week, as some of you can see on Facebook. For those of you
not yet on Facebook, where have you been?? Quick get an account now!

I’ll be posting the photos here, as well as my running commentary on the 3-day shoot. As...Read more
I have just finished my first day of filming an episode of Incredible Tales. Two more days to go. It might be nothing great, but it’s a first step for me in many ways. A step from short films into TV. A further baby step in my dreams.
Suffering from an inferiority complex. I feel I’m lacking in the looks department, not as pretty as the “successful” actresses. Not as outgoing and talkative as the “popular” actresses. Not as savvy as the “crew-friendly” people. So how do I try to improve? My makeup skills have improved with ti...Read more
I’ve been pondering on this question for some time. I mean, I know each and every person is unique. But what are the qualities that make me unique from other people, and how can I stand out?
I’ve been reading books about auditions & acting. A few mention finding my niche (or unique character presentation). Something that differentiates me from other actors. Not ster...Read more

The art of cupcake-baking threw up many important lessons for me yesterday. Let me share my adventure with you, in the hope that each and every one of you will be able to learn from the morals of my story.
“A long time ago, long before you were born, in the Southern province of China …”
There was a girl by the name of Laura. One day, she chanced upon a cupcake recipe book buried in the recesses between the microwave oven and the shelving. As she flipped through this beautiful book, she was hit with...Read more
I’m spending today entirely at home. And what have I accomplished thus far?
Today, I started and completed a 187-page book, “Yakuza Moon” by Shoko Tendo.
Usually when we think of Japan, we think of anime, sushi & kawaii girls. We think of high-tech products and outlandish fashion styles. I would recommend this book to those ...Read more
