“It’s when you have to dig into aspects of yourself
to develop a character. Because every human being is capable
of a myriad of actions, thoughts & feelings,
but we cut a lot of that off because of who we are &
what society expects of us. But at least in acting, you can actually
escape from all that & move into somebody who you think
is not like you. But then, if you are to be believable,
how do you dredge that up from yourself? It...Read more
Cubik is one of my favourite projects to date – from an incredible cast to a brilliant crew – we came from Singapore, USA, Australia, Germany & Thailand to film this ambitious 32-minute crime drama in tiny Singapore. I was honoured to be chosen as the lead – “Alex” – for this project and for the opportunity to work with this team of passionate filmmakers.
It’s been a long journey, but I remember gathering at the director’s house more than 2 weeks prior to the start of p...Read more
I filmed Incredible Tales 6: “The Ride Home” 18 months ago, and it finally got its air-time on Channel 5 last Saturday, 10 Apr. This was one of my first projects when I started out on my professional acting career, so it is my “baby”, so to speak. I remember staying on Pulau Ubin overnight till 5a.m. before I shot my scene. That was pretty memorable.
I also found a few industry friends through this shoot. An introduction to the circle, of sorts. But, basically Incredible Tales is a collection of s...Read more
I’ve been wanting to change my hairstyle for quite some time now. A few weeks ago, a director friend asked me, “Why don’t you change your hairstyle?” And that gave me the impetus to finally DO IT. I nearly went out the next day to the hair salon, but caught myself just in time – I had a shoot the following week that required continuity, and I think the production company would have “murdered” me if I’d changed my hair.
Anyway, I finally got it done on Thursday, 8 Apr. Wanted to cut my hair to shoulder lengt...Read more

In the same way, we should also work on our physical selves, so as to enhance our flexibility & ability to mold into different characters.
That is why I’m very excited about the upcom...Read more

On the last day of 2009, the day after I touched down from HK, I ended the year with a stroll on the beautiful beach at East Coast Park. Taking photos which would be made into a photo-story by Ying Ying, a Ngee Ann Poly friend. It was a beautiful way to end a year, and a decade. Back to nature.
These are a selection of photos from that collection: LOVE STORY.

3 weeks without blogging – that’s like an eternity.
I’m thankful for Assembly Shows, which have ensured I get some income every month, and still do what I like – performing. Since the beginning of 2010, I’ve been involved in a number of Assembly Show series:

“Mind Our Language”
